Clio Fanouraki is Associate Professor at the Department of Theatre Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specialising in “Theatre Studies – Theatre Education: Theory and Practice”.

She graduated with distinction from the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Athens and holds a Diploma in Acting from the Themelio Drama School, a Master's degree from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom, and a PhD from the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Patras in the field of theatre studies and theatre/drama in education.

She also graduated with distinction in Film Studies from the University of Greenwich in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with New York College in Athens.

Since the academic year 2018, she has been a member of the academic staff of the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Athens. She has taught Theatre Education for primary and secondary education at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Patras, where she was also responsible for students’ teaching practice in schools.

Since 2015, she has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the Open University of Cyprus, where she has taught the module “Theatre Education” in the postgraduate programme “Theatre Studies”.
