Konstantza Georgakaki is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre Studies. In 1978 she graduated from the Philosophy Department of the University of Athens (specialized in literature) and in 1997 she obtained a  PhD in Theatre Studies. During the period 1984-2001 she worked as a literature teacher in the Secondary Education. She is responsible for the Erasmus Educational exchanging program between the University of Athens and the University Paul Valéry-Montpellier III. Furthermore, she has been Scientific Coordinator in the following research programs:  1. Revue during the seven years of dictatorship (1967-1974), 2. The prose theater during the dictatorship (1967-1974) and 3. European troupes in Greece (1950-2000). Her research interests include, among other, the relations between Greek theatre and cultural policy, the foreign theatre companies in the Greek stage as well as the evolution of the “Athenian revue”.
